My classes – as well as my schedule – change seasonally, and as dictated by demand. A current schedule can ALWAYS be found at www.sherir.zumba.com (under classes) & also at www.facebook.com/zumbawithsheri on my Zumba Facebook page, and you are welcome to text me directly any time as well (765-744-0186). Cancellations are posted online when they occur. And although I am trained and licensed to teach the following Zumba programs, they are not always on my schedule.
Zumba – Is a Latin-Inspired dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and International music and dance movements to create a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system; however, you do not have to have prior dance or fitness experience to participate! (typically a one hour class, but not always.)
Zumba Gold – Is a fitness program specifically designed to take the exciting Latin and International dance rhythms created in the original ZUMBA Program and bring them to the active older adult, the overweight or obese participant, or any other special population that may need modifications for success. Again, no experience necessary. (Usually a 30 or 40 minute class.)
Zumba Toning – Is a fitness program that takes Zumba to the next level utilizing an innovative muscle training protocol AND the addition of lightweight toning sticks. Created to emphasize muscle work along with the rhythms, this combination of cardio and dynamic resistive exercises is an effective use of progressive lightweight training to improve overall performance. (Classes range from 30 to 60 minutes. Extra toning sticks are available from instructor for use and/or for purchase.)
Zumba Sentao – This program combines strength and resistance training to tone muscles and strengthen the core with innovative dance-fitness moves, all centered around a chair without the use of toning sticks. (30 – 40 minute class)
What you need to wear/what you need to bring – Comfortable workout gear such as yoga pants and tops, or shorts and a t-shirt (something YOU are comfortable exercising in). A supportive comfortable shoe without too much tread on the bottom (too much and your shoe will stick in place when you try and turn/twist and you may injure your knee.) A dance sneaker or a cross-trainer with extra support to cushion impact/bounce. Bring a water! Some people also bring sweat towels.
Pricing – Classes are $5.00 each.
Punch Cards are available for $40.00 good for 10 classes (like getting 2 classes free!).
